Fuel options

Topec has already spent many years developing solutions that utilise different fuels for generating energy. Diesel oil is still used the most frequently. (Natural) gas engines play a role in combined heat and power in particular.

However, alternative fuels have attracted great interest over the past few years due to the soaring cost of fossil fuels and the growing demand for green energy. Examples of such fuels are biogas, flare gas, landfill gas and biofuels (e.g. Jatropha oil).

No matter which fuel you wish to use due to availability or cost, Topec can deliver a suitable installation to this end! We can also offer ‘dual fuel’ installations: units that run on two different types of fuel.
