Remarkable project

Topec delivered a power station in Northern Italy at the end of 2008 that uses different types of bio-oil as fuel.

The power station supplies the generated electrical energy to the main grid, and also supplies waste heat energy to a neighbouring city and factory. The installation can run on different types of biofuel, whereby the control system automatically regulates the quality of fuel supplied to the engines. The installation comprises 2 x 3750 kWe machines manufactured by MAN and is connected to the 20 kV grid via a medium-voltage installation.
